2010 YPF Submission Rules

Deadline:  Submissions must be postmarked OR e-mailed by March 15, 2010

Fees: There are no fees for the Festival Competition

Eligibility: Playwrights must be 19 years old or younger on March 15, 2010 — co-written plays acceptable provided co-writers meet eligibility requirement

Content: Original plays and musicals on ANY subject

Limit: Up to 3 plays per playwright or playwright team

Format: Plays submitted by mail/express: All script pages must be numbered and printed on only one side, and unbound (loose sheets, no staples). Plays submitted by e-mail must be in PDF format.

No Returns: Scripts will NOT be returned — please do NOT send originals!

Notification: We will contact Festival Competition winners in May 2010

Performance: Winning plays performed in the Festival in Los Angeles in June 2010

Submissions: Submit play(s) by mail/express OR e-mail by March 15, 2010

Submissions must include a cover sheet with the following information:

Playwright Name // Playwright Date of Birth // School Name
